Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Red and Yellow Apple, from Seven Apple Woodcuts by Roy Lichtenstein was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,400.00 (€ 20,852.50). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Lichtenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nurse in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 95,365,000.00 (€ 90,290,664.65).
