This artwork by Rowland John Robb Langmaid achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2005. In the MARITIME PICTURES auction, the work The Royal yacht Victoria and Albert (III) at Cowes, the guardship beyond sold for GBP 360.00 (€ 531.47) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 200.00. Admittedly, works by Rowland John Robb Langmaid have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunset, Westminster in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,960.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rowland John Robb Langmaid auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunset, Westminster im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.960,41).
