Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work Bustling activity below Tower Bridge by Rowland John Robb Langmaid was sold in the Maritime Art auction at Christies in London in May 2010. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,611.00). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rowland John Robb Langmaid - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunset, Westminster, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,960.41).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit Bustling activity below Tower Bridge von Rowland John Robb Langmaid wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Maritime Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.611,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Rowland John Robb Langmaid mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunset, Westminster beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.960,41) versteigert wurde.
