Auction result misses estimated price range

In November 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Scott's Discovery moored on the embankment (illustrated); and The Pool of London by Rowland John Robb Langmaid for GBP 250.00 (€ 350.06). This price was achieved in the auction Maritime at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rowland John Robb Langmaid achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset, Westminster in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,960.41).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im November 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Scott's Discovery moored on the embankment (illustrated); and The Pool of London von Rowland John Robb Langmaid für GBP 250,00 (€ 350,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Maritime bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rowland John Robb Langmaid erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset, Westminster im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.960,41).
