Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction Maritime & Naval Battles (Pictures), which included the work The Needles, Isle of Wight by Rowland John Robb Langmaid. The price achieved of GBP 264.00 (€ 388.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rowland John Robb Langmaid achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset, Westminster in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,960.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime & Naval Battles (Pictures) durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Needles, Isle of Wight von Rowland John Robb Langmaid zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 264,00 (€ 388,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rowland John Robb Langmaid erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset, Westminster im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.960,41).
