It achieved a price of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,141.37), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Rowland Hilder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Old Oast Houses at Chiddingstone, Kent in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,465.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape near Tonbridge, Kent von Rowland Hilder kam im August 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.141,37) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rowland Hilder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Old Oast Houses at Chiddingstone, Kent im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.465,18).
