Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Free interpretation of a detail from Turner's 'Calais pier English Packet arriving' by Rowland Hilder was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 751.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rowland Hilder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Old Oast Houses at Chiddingstone, Kent in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,465.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Free interpretation of a detail from Turner's 'Calais pier English Packet arriving' von Rowland Hilder kam im Juli 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 751,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rowland Hilder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Old Oast Houses at Chiddingstone, Kent im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.465,18).
