Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2007 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Original Book Illustrations, which included the work After the shower, Faversham by Rowland Hilder. The price achieved of GBP 384.00 (€ 570.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rowland Hilder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Old Oast Houses at Chiddingstone, Kent in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,465.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Original Book Illustrations durch, in der auch die Arbeit After the shower, Faversham von Rowland Hilder zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 384,00 (€ 570,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rowland Hilder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Old Oast Houses at Chiddingstone, Kent im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.465,18).
