Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work O’Carolyn (Spirit Of The Blind Harpist) by Rowan Gillespie for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,090.71). This price was achieved in the auction Irish Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rowan Gillespie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When Hope And History Rhyme in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 161,000.00 (€ 225,198.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit O’Carolyn (Spirit Of The Blind Harpist) von Rowan Gillespie für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.090,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Irish Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rowan Gillespie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit When Hope And History Rhyme im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 161.000,00 (€ 225.198,79).
