Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Age by Rowan Gillespie was sold in the Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2015. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,735.94) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rowan Gillespie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When Hope And History Rhyme in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 161,000.00 (€ 225,198.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Age von Rowan Gillespie wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 15.735,94) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rowan Gillespie erzielen.
