In March last year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Else 6 by Roni Horn. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,938.72), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roni Horn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Water (The River Thames, For Example) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 378,000.00 (€ 324,547.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Else 6 von Roni Horn zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.938,72) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roni Horn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Water (The River Thames, For Example) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 378.000,00 (€ 324.547,09).
