Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Two works: (i-ii) Untitled from the series Zoomanities by Ronald Ventura was auctioned at Phillips in 7 - in December this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,556.00 (€ 3,214.61). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ronald Ventura achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Party Animal in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 19,450,000.00 (€ 2,056,015.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Two works: (i-ii) Untitled from the series Zoomanities von Ronald Ventura im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 7 - versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.556,00 (€ 3.214,61) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ronald Ventura erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Party Animal im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 19.450.000,00 (€ 2.056.015,25).
