Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ron Gorchov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in December 2019. In the New Now auction, the work without title sold for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,682.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ron Gorchov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work General in June this year with an auction result of GBP 152,800.00 (€ 177,832.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ron Gorchov erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.682,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ron Gorchov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit General im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 152.800,00 (€ 177.832,89).
