Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ron English achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2018. In the CURATED: TURN IT UP auction, the work Mc Supersize sold for HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,236.47) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 36,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ron English have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Slash 'n Friends (Album Cover) in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 64,343.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ron English erzielte im Juni 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion CURATED: TURN IT UP wurde die Arbeit Mc Supersize für HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.236,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 36.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ron English auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Slash 'n Friends (Album Cover) im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 64.343,35).
