In April 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Untitled #162 by Romulo Olazo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 131,250.00 (€ 15,168.65), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Romulo Olazo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Diaphanous, which sold at auction in December 2021 for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 39,644.81).

Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled #162 von Romulo Olazo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 131.250,00 (€ 15.168,65) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Romulo Olazo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Diaphanous beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 39.644,81) versteigert wurde.
