Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Taro Series I by Romulo Olazo was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,824.58). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Romulo Olazo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diaphanous in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 39,644.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Taro Series I von Romulo Olazo wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 32.500,00 (€ 3.824,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Romulo Olazo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diaphanous im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 39.644,81).
