Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ali by Romero Britto was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2008. The price achieved of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 15,257.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Romero Britto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work American Dream in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 227,396.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ali von Romero Britto kam im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 15.257,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Romero Britto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit American Dream im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 227.396,76).
