Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Opalka 1965/1-8 Detail, 1676723-1679589 by Roman Opalka was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in March 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 80,763.54). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roman Opalka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work OPALKA 1965/1 - ∞ Détail 185086 – 218302 in May 2021 with an auction result of EUR 1,222,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Opalka 1965/1-8 Detail, 1676723-1679589 von Roman Opalka wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 68.750,00 (€ 80.763,54) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roman Opalka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit OPALKA 1965/1 - ∞ Détail 185086 – 218302 im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.222.500,00.
