Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Estampes & Multiples, which included the work L'Art En Ecrit, 1992-2006 by Roman Opalka. The price achieved of EUR 1,785.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roman Opalka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work OPALKA 1965/1 - ∞ Détail 185086 – 218302 in May 2021 with an auction result of EUR 1,222,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Estampes & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Art En Ecrit, 1992-2006 von Roman Opalka zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.785,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roman Opalka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit OPALKA 1965/1 - ∞ Détail 185086 – 218302 im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.222.500,00.
