Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, from the Picnic Series, 1986 by Roland Petersen was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. The price achieved of USD 44,475.00 (€ 45,461.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roland Petersen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Girl with Flowers, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 132,000.00 (€ 98,119.38).

Die Arbeit Untitled, from the Picnic Series, 1986 von Roland Petersen wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 44.475,00 (€ 45.461,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Roland Petersen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Girl with Flowers beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 132.000,00 (€ 98.119,38) versteigert wurde.
