Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California, which included the work The Table, 1961 by Roland Petersen. It changed hands for a price of USD 19,062.50 (€ 16,465.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Roland Petersen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Girl with Flowers in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 132,000.00 (€ 98,119.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Table, 1961 von Roland Petersen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 19.062,50 (€ 16.465,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roland Petersen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Girl with Flowers im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 132.000,00 (€ 98.119,38).
