Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Forked Tree, 1964 by Roland Petersen was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 47,812.50 (€ 39,744.39) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roland Petersen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Girl with Flowers, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 132,000.00 (€ 98,119.38).

Die Arbeit Forked Tree, 1964 von Roland Petersen kam im April 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 47.812,50 (€ 39.744,39) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Roland Petersen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Girl with Flowers beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 132.000,00 (€ 98.119,38) versteigert wurde.
