Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
When the work A Song At The Show; And Spanish Ballerinas by Eliseo Meifrén was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2005, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 2,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than six times as high at GBP 12,600.00 (€ 18,674.00). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eliseo Meifrén achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Regatas en el puerto de Barcelona in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 437,600.00.
Kunstwerk zum Sechsfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit A Song At The Show; And Spanish Ballerinas von Eliseo Meifrén im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – GBP 2.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit GBP 12.600,00 (€ 18.674,00) mehr als sechsmal so hoch. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eliseo Meifrén erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Regatas en el puerto de Barcelona im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 437.600,00.
