Despite a disappointment, a good price for Roger Parry
In April 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Superimposition) by Roger Parry for USD 13,750.00 (€ 8,832.22). This price was achieved in the auction The Quillan Collection of Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Untitled (Superimposition) is the most expensive artwork by Roger Parry that we have observed at auction so far.
