In March 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Portrait Of Vanessa Bell by Roger Fry. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,918.42), 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roger Fry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of E.M. Forster in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 325,062.00 (€ 362,581.90).

Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Vanessa Bell von Roger Fry zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.918,42) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roger Fry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of E.M. Forster im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 325.062,00 (€ 362.581,90).
