In December 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Mountainous Landscape With Figures by Roelandt Savery. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 52,500.00 (€ 59,081.06), 31% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Roelandt Savery have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orpheus Charming The Animals in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 452,750.00 (€ 529,338.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountainous Landscape With Figures von Roelandt Savery zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 59.081,06) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roelandt Savery auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orpheus Charming The Animals im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 452.750,00 (€ 529.338,21).
