Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work A river landscape with shepherds making music among the animals by Roelandt Savery for GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,336.26). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roelandt Savery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orpheus Charming The Animals in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 452,750.00 (€ 529,338.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A river landscape with shepherds making music among the animals von Roelandt Savery für GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.336,26) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roelandt Savery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orpheus Charming The Animals im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 452.750,00 (€ 529.338,21).
