Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cornelis Cornelisz. van Haarlem by Roelandt Savery was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 151,200.00 (€ 124,598.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Roelandt Savery have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orpheus Charming The Animals in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 452,750.00 (€ 529,338.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cornelis Cornelisz. van Haarlem von Roelandt Savery kam im Januar 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 124.598,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roelandt Savery auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orpheus Charming The Animals im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 452.750,00 (€ 529.338,21).
