In the Master Paintings Part II auction, the work A lion hunting two deer sold for USD 107,100.00 (€ 88,257.11) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Roelandt Savery have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orpheus Charming The Animals in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 452,750.00 (€ 529,338.21).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Roelandt Savery erzielte im Januar 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Master Paintings Part II wurde die Arbeit A lion hunting two deer für USD 107.100,00 (€ 88.257,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roelandt Savery auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orpheus Charming The Animals im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 452.750,00 (€ 529.338,21).
