Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Roelandt Savery achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in January 2021. In the Master Paintings Part II auction, the work Landscape with swans near a waterfall sold for USD 107,100.00 (€ 88,257.11) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Roelandt Savery have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orpheus Charming The Animals in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 452,750.00 (€ 529,338.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Roelandt Savery erzielte im Januar 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Master Paintings Part II wurde die Arbeit Landscape with swans near a waterfall für USD 107.100,00 (€ 88.257,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roelandt Savery auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orpheus Charming The Animals im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 452.750,00 (€ 529.338,21).
