Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A rocky wooded landscape with birds, deer and other animals by Roelandt Savery was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,760.00 (€ 30,749.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roelandt Savery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orpheus Charming The Animals in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 452,750.00 (€ 529,338.21).

Die Arbeit A rocky wooded landscape with birds, deer and other animals von Roelandt Savery kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 30.749,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roelandt Savery erzielen.
