Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Orchard, Felstead by Rodrigo Moynihan. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,912.00 (€ 2,706.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rodrigo Moynihan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Girl in a Bar, which sold at auction in November 2000 for GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,562.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orchard, Felstead von Rodrigo Moynihan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.912,00 (€ 2.706,01) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rodrigo Moynihan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Girl in a Bar beobachtet, die im November 2000 für GBP 6.462,50 (€ 10.562,70) versteigert wurde.
