Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Roberto Caracciolo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2016. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work The Narrow Field (Maria) sold for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,316.25) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roberto Caracciolo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, 1989, which sold at auction in July 2004 for USD 5,736.00 (€ 4,767.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Roberto Caracciolo erzielte im September 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit The Narrow Field (Maria) für GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.316,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Roberto Caracciolo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, 1989 beobachtet, die im Juli 2004 für USD 5.736,00 (€ 4.767,29) versteigert wurde.
