Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Georgetown University From The River Potomac, Washington by Robert Trenaman Back for GBP 192.00 (€ 284.56). This price was achieved in the auction MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Trenaman Back achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Battle of Trafalgar: H.M.S. Victory, Temeraire and Neptune breaking the enemy line, 21st October 1805 in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,369.93).

Im Juni 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Georgetown University From The River Potomac, Washington von Robert Trenaman Back für GBP 192,00 (€ 284,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Trenaman Back erzielen.
