Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Scottish Lighthouse Board's tender by Robert Salmon was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October last year. The price achieved of GBP 8,287.50 (€ 9,654.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Salmon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Royal Naval Vessels Off Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven in June 2009 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 172,967.19).

Die Arbeit The Scottish Lighthouse Board's tender von Robert Salmon kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.287,50 (€ 9.654,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Salmon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Royal Naval Vessels Off Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 242.500,00 (€ 172.967,19).
