This artwork by Robert Salmon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2020. In the Old Masters including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection auction, the work A Man-Of-War Of The Red Squadron, Departing The 'Tail Of The Bank' Anchorage On The Clyde sold for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 44,404.40) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Salmon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Royal Naval Vessels Off Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven, which sold at auction in June 2009 for USD 242,500.00 (€ 172,967.19).

Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Salmon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Royal Naval Vessels Off Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven beobachtet, die im Juni 2009 für USD 242.500,00 (€ 172.967,19) versteigert wurde.
