The price achieved of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,799.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Salmon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Royal Naval Vessels Off Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven in June 2009 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 172,967.19).
