Auction result misses estimated price range
In August this year a collector was able to acquire the work Grand Canyon Yellowstone Park by Robert Riggs for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,771.38). This price was achieved in the auction American Art Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Riggs achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boxers in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 204,000.00 (€ 172,268.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Grand Canyon Yellowstone Park von Robert Riggs für USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.771,38) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Riggs erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boxers im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 204.000,00 (€ 172.268,20).
