The result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 41,003.77) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Riggs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boxers in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 204,000.00 (€ 172,268.20).

Die Arbeit "Goliath Hit Him With The First Clean Right Hand Of The Evening" von Robert Riggs wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 41.003,77) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Riggs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boxers im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 204.000,00 (€ 172.268,20).
