Auction result well in line with expectations
The work ‘Hot Wheels Ii’, 2020 by Robert Popper was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,798.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Popper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pippa, 2019, which sold at auction in February 2020 for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,243.76).

Die Arbeit ‘Hot Wheels Ii’, 2020 von Robert Popper wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.520,00 (€ 2.798,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Popper mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pippa, 2019 beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.243,76) versteigert wurde.
