Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Monster, 2017 by Robert Popper was sold in the Erotic Online auction at Sothebys in London in February 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,607.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Popper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pippa, 2019, which sold at auction in February 2020 for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,243.76).
