In October 2005 Christies in London held the auction Twentieth Century British Art, which included the work Delilah; and a sketchbook of works by Robert Medley. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 264.00 (€ 389.32), 32% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Medley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red and green figuration in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 25,280.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Twentieth Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Delilah; and a sketchbook of works von Robert Medley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 264,00 (€ 389,32) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Medley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red and green figuration im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 25.280,67).
