Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction The Poetry of Crisis; The Peter Nahum Collection of British Surrealist and Avant-Garde Art 1930-1951, which included the work Portrait of Robert Colquhoun In An Armchair by Robert MacBryde. The price achieved of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,346.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert MacBryde have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red and Black Still Life in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,317.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Poetry of Crisis; The Peter Nahum Collection of British Surrealist and Avant-Garde Art 1930-1951 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Robert Colquhoun In An Armchair von Robert MacBryde zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.346,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert MacBryde auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red and Black Still Life im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.317,37).
