Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian Ls 50 Inscribed And Dated To Rcc From Rk 6/72 (Lower Right) Collage, Gouache And Ink On Paper 24 By 18Cm by Robert Klippel. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 4,560.00 (€ 2,780.58). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Klippel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Opus 361 (Eighteen Miniature Constructions) in March 2006 with an auction result of AUD 507,800.00 (€ 299,727.08).
