A top price for Robert Indiana - as previously expected
The work Love by Robert Indiana was sold in the Contemporary Art Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000,000.00 – 5,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,495,000.00 (€ 3,086,637.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Love is the most expensive artwork by Robert Indiana that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Love von Robert Indiana wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
