Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Herdman could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Scottish ArtThe Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh auction, the work The Balcony changed hands for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,306.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Robert Herdman have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2001 by the work The tired Pifferaro Abruzzese at GBP 14,100.00 (€ 22,437.54).
