Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Heather from the Hills, Arran by Robert Herdman was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 6,011.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Herdman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The tired Pifferaro Abruzzese, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 14,100.00 (€ 22,437.54).
