Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,925.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Gwathmey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Country Gospel Music, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 50,775.00 (€ 49,186.28).
