Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Circus Ring at Night by Robert Frederick Blum. The price achieved of USD 86,500.00 (€ 64,297.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Frederick Blum achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venetian Gondoliers in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,142,500.00 (€ 924,053.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Circus Ring at Night von Robert Frederick Blum zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 64.297,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Frederick Blum erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venetian Gondoliers im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.142.500,00 (€ 924.053,70).
