In April 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work At The Marketplace by Robert Frederick Blum. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,594.17) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Frederick Blum achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venetian Gondoliers in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,142,500.00 (€ 924,053.70).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit At The Marketplace von Robert Frederick Blum zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.594,17) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Frederick Blum erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venetian Gondoliers im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.142.500,00 (€ 924.053,70).
